Rapper Lil Wayne has been released from jail, the start of the Young Money record label had been jailed for one year following his conviction on weapon possession charges however he has been released after serving only eight months in Rikers Island, New York's notorious prison.


Whilst in prison Lil Wayne apparently kept in touch with his fans who had sent him letters of comfort and encouragment. His website Weezythanxyou.com often had letters addressed to his fans published online from lil wayne whilst he was in prison saying how he had found a comfort in their daily letters

He plans to head home to Miami
